David Booker

For the past 25 years, David Booker—based in Denver, Colorado—has been bluesin', swingin', jazzin', soulin' and generally “Roots-Rockin'” it up at venues big and small—at weddings and corporate events, as well as an opener for major acts that include: Los Lobos, John Mayall, Dr. John; and as a side man for: Bo Diddley, soul giant Solomon Burke, and the late Rufus ("Walkin The Dog") Thomas. 2006 sees him playing in solo-acoustic or electric duo/trio/quartet formats at most club venues in Denver and surrounding states.

The 4/5 piece can be seen at larger clubs, events, and weddings etc., but no matter what size, shape or form he's booked in, Booker complements to perfection whatever style or mode of music chosen. From the jump blues and swing of Count Basie and Duke Ellington, to cocktail background jazz, to 50s rockabilly, rock 'n' roll/rhythm & blues à la Chuck Berry, to classic soul...the Drifters, James Brown, Motown (Temptations) etc….to lounge jazz/blues, via the stylings of Mose Allison, and the Blues Queen, the late Bessie Smith, David has got it covered and more.
